I have been trying to locate Mrs. Harriet Jones, nee Wallace, who family legend had marrying Joseph Jones on the John Pirie’s voyage over. She doesn’t appear on the passenger list.

Details from the diaries on Kangaroo Island may perhaps offer a lead, as Joseph and Harriet were listed as married on the shipping arrivals.

The four Chandler children were,

Elizabeth, 10 years (1826-1907)
William Henry, 5 years (1831-1902)
Sarah Eleanor, 3 years (1833-1902)
Harriet 12 months, (1835-1885)
